Erin O'Toole won the leadership race for the Conservative Party of Canada on Sunday, August 23rd, 2020. O'Toole managed to surpass the required amount of points need to win the position, 16901 points.

Originally, I thought that Former MP Peter Mackay would assume the position of leader, he did do alright on the 1st ballot, but it was weak. On The other hand, I do not expect Sloan to win at all. I'll absolutely see him on the ballot with PPC next to it. Lewis did do okay, too.

After that whole election wrapped up, I saw this...
Congratulations to @ErinOTooleMP on a hard-fought campaign. It’s now time for our @CPC_HQ party and movement to come together, and to focus on what’s most important: ensuring our country gets moving in the right direction again. https://t.co/caXJtIo2PY

I was cracking jokes with my dad about Mackay crying after the election. I felt bad for him after this tweet, I know the feeling of expecting to win an election because of polling but losing.

Now, we all wait until the next election.
